Article Abstract
Myocardial enzyme release and echocardiographic wall motion abnormalities are associated with impaired left ventricular performance after subarachnoid hemorrhage. In severely affected patients, reduction of cardiac output from normally eleva ted levels may increase the risk of cerebral ischemia related to vasospasm.
